In this museum room, visitors can imagine themselves seated in a lazy cinema seat to learn about a century of artistic innovation in Belgium through three films edited one after the other. In a first film, René Magritte strolls through Antwerp on the occasion of his visit to a salon of Kunst van Heden. Then, in the film La Pluie, Marcel Broodthaers explores the boundary between word and image. Broodthaers sits at a table writing a text, but as soon as it begins to rain, the ink of the written word transforms into stains and thus into an autonomous image. In the last film, Panamarenko is at work in Balen, where in the meadow of the Kempen artist Jef Geys he makes heroic attempts to get his aeromodeller into the air.
